NEWS: With newly elected legislators set to take office next month, several states are seeking to put new pro-life bills into law. Nebraska has already enacted such law and now pro-life lawmakers in other states hope to do the same thing, but they need our help.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Law makers on both sides of the subject need to hear from you. You can contact your state-level legislators and say you want to have pro-life legislation passed in the new year. (No pro-life legislation has passed the KY House of Representatives for more than a decade. Let's turn up the heat on them about this.) To learn who your state-level representatives are and their contact information, click here and enter your zip code.

T'was the week before elections

T'was the week before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
tired of political clap-trap

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
'On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as they flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
that wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note—
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!

NEWS: Two years ago, Governor Beshear pushed for an amendment to the Kentucky Constitution to allow for expanding gambling (slot machines) in our state, the votes failed for that. During the last legislative session, it was tried to put this under the umbrella of the lottery. The votes failed for that too. Now this isn't coming up for a vote at all; it's just being put in place without the voters or General Assembly getting to say anything about it. The slot machines, called "Instant Racing," are where gamblers put money in a machine and bet on films of old horse races. It is a back-door attempt to do what the gambling industry failed to convince legislators to do during the last General Assembly session: allow wealthy horse tracks to bypass the Kentucky Constitution.
The Family Foundation of Kentucky has filed a brief in Franklin Circuit Court to intervine in what it calls a "one-sided case" filed by several horse tacts that would expand gamling byond current limits. This way of incrasing the state's revenue violates Biblical principles. (See Proverbs 22:16; 28:22; 11:28.)

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can do two things: 1) You can contact the Family Foundation of Kentucky and help them in their fight against expanded gambling. 2) You can contact your State-level legislators and tell them to take action to stop this violation of the State Constitution. Click here to learn who your State-level legislators are.

Boycott Sears!

NEWS: Sears is now in the pornography business. The retail giant is now selling giant posters of nudity and sexual activity on its website. Unless Sears hears from you, they will continue to sell pornography and it will find it's way into the stores, pushing more of this in front of our families.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can do two things. 1-Stop shopping at Sears until the store removes these items. 2-Contact Sears and let them know you are boycotting them for this reason. When sales drop it is one thing, but if they know the reason why, it has a far greater impact. Their e-mail address is: general@customerservice.sears.com. To call, the phone number is: 1-800-549-4505. To write the address is:

Kagan: anti-military, anti-family, anti-homeschooling

NEWS: Elena Kagan's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court will soon be before the full U.S. Senate. When clerking for Justice Thurgood Marshall during a Supreme Court case where an Ohio family wanted to homeschool their child she tried to get the ruling against the parents by writing, that the parents are "self-described born-again Christians who adhere to a literal interpretation of the Bible and have little sympathy with the secular world." In addition, in trying to persuade against the Christian parents right to homeschool she wrote: "This burden on religious freedom is slight, and the interest of the state is great."

In addition to her anti-homeschooling stance she also kicked military recruiters off of campus when she was a university president, and has called the Defense of Marriage Act "abhorrent." In her hearings she also said she doesn't believe in "natural rights" referring to the Declaration of Independence which says that"all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights..."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: To stop this radical left-wing liberal from getting a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court you must contact your Senators in Washington D.C. before her nomination is put to a vote. Let them know if they vote for her that you will not be voting for them. Click here for your Senator's contact information.

Help a school in fight against ACLU

NEWS: The communistic ACLU is at it again. They have threatened a lawsuit against a school in Rhode Island if a prayer, mounted on the wall since 1958, isn't changed. (Prayer is listed below.)

Officials of the school district say they cannot afford to fight the ACLU, which objects to the religious references and will likely give in to the ACLU. All this does it let the ACLU win without even a fight. In actually court battles, the ACLU has a growing trend of losing. We should not give in to intimidation!

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: The school committee is scheduled to take action August 16. You can contact Cranston High School West and express your encouragement to keep the prayer in the school and to not give in to the ACLU. You can call the main office at: (401)270-8049, or e-mail them at: chsw@cpsed.net or write them at:
Cranston High School West
80 Metropolitan Avenue
Cranston, RI 02920
Here is the prayer in question:
"Our Heavenly Father,Grant us each day the desire to do our best,To grow mentally and morally as well as physically,To be kind and helpful to our classmates and teachers,To be honest with ourselves as well as with others.Help us to be good sports and smile when we lose as well as when we win.Teach us the value of true friendship.Help us always to conduct ourselves so as to bring credit to Cranston High School West.Amen"

Sodomy taught at 1st grade!

NEWS: There is a new sex education program in Montana teaching fifth-graders the different ways people have intercourse, first-graders about homosexual love, and kindergartners anatomical terms.

The program also teaches high school students about erotic art (PORNOGRAPHY), and about anxiety concerning sexual performance in high school.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Though this particular issue is in Montana, it is spreading all over the country. To keep this outrage from coming to your child's school, attend school board meetings to find out what materials they intend to push on your children.
Parents in Montana are considering impeachment the school board members or filing a lawsuit. We must take a strong, active, vocal stance against such perversions.

Lincoln's Final Act

NEWS: Rep. Randy Forbes of Virginia has authored the "In God We Trust" Resolution (H.Con.Res. 274), which reaffirms "In God We Trust" as our national motto and urges it be displayed "in all public buildings, public schools, and other government institutions."
This phrase was adopted as the U.S. official national motto in 1956, but has appeared on our coinage since 1865. The last piece of legislation Abraham Lincoln signed authorized the use of "In God We Trust" on all our coins.
To find out if your Representative is one of the resolution's co-sponsors, click here.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: 1) If your representative is co-sponsoring the resolution, you can send a letter of encouragement. e-mail, or make a call.
2) If your representative is NOT a co-sponsor, urge them to become one today.

Fight Back Against the ACLU

NEWS: Continuing its assault on Christianity, the ACLU is using intimidation tactics against Montana State University-Northern (MSU-N) about having prayer during graduation. The ACLU said the school needed to review its ceremonies that contained prayer during graduation, and the school needed to apologize for allowing a pastor to pray during the commencement.

Here's some news for the ACLU: the First Amendment does not require universities to purge their ceremonies of everything religious!

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact MSU-N to encourage them to not give in to this intimidation. You can call the school at 1-800.662.6132 or write:

The Army of 7,000

God and Country Ministry is excited to announce a new program called "The Army of 7,000." It is a group of Christians part of a minuteman style quick-reaction force. When an e-mail alert is sent, they take action on it by contacting their legislators.

If 7,000 Christians per state become "active duty" and contact their legislators on a topic, they could stop or get the needed votes to pass any law in their state.

The name of the group comes from the Biblical account of Elijah. He felt alone when fighting against the evil that had taken over his country, but God encouraged him in I Kings 19:18 by saying, "Yet I have left me 7,000 in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal..." There are other faithful Christians who are willing to stand up and be counted. You can be one of them by joining The Army of 7,000.

Unlike "News & What You Can Do About It" (the page you're on now) e-mail alerts for "The Army of 7,000" will be automatically sent to those who have 'enlisted.' You can join The Army of 7,000 by clicking here.

Standing with God's People

NEWS: Israel has come under heavy criticism from the international community because of its raid on a flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip. These ships were boarded to stop the flow of rockets into Gaza that so often strike at the people. These ships housed people with terrorist ties, and video taken during the incident shows that it was only as a last result that the Israelis opened fire, as members of the Turkish crew attacked and beat Israelis who were trying to inspect the ship. It is Israel's right to secure its boarders, and to take steps to defend its citizens.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: When it comes to Israel, the Bible says in Genesis 12:3: "I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee..." One of the reasons America has been so blessed in the past is because of its strong stand with Israel. God will honor His Word regarding how we treat His chosen people. As America's relationship with Israel has been deteriorating, please pray that our leaders will stand with Israel in this event. It is for the Israeli's good as well as our own.

Against God's Word

NEWS: Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear has called for a special legislative session convening this week. In addition to hammering out a state budget, the Governor tacked on a provision for a law to be passed allowing alcohol sampling licenses. This is so bourbon can be served at the World Equestrian Games this fall and from now on throughout the entire state.

Currently, the bourbon industry can only provide free samples on their own properties. Gov. Beshear said that, "this will have a permanent impact on our state." I agree, though for very different reasons. He touts that giving away free liquor samples is good for tourism, but what does the Bible say about giving alcohol away? "Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him..." - Habakkuk 2:15

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: We can stand up for God's Law and not for man's law just to make money. This law will be voted on or before Friday, May 28. Before then, you can leave a message for your legislators expressing opposition to this expansion of alcohol. To learn who your state-level Senator and Representative are just click here. Once you know who your legislators are, you can leave a message for them by calling the Capitol's Legislative Message Line: 1-800-372-7181.

NEWS: President Obama has nominated Solicitor General Elena Kagan to the United States Supreme Court. She is part of the Department of Justice that filed a brief which declared "this Administration does not support DOMA (Defense of Marriage Act) as a matter of policy [and] believes that it is discriminatory."

When she was dean of the Harvard Law School, she threw military recruiters off campus.

Her nomination ought to be rejected on these grounds alone. In addition, she has NEVER served as a judge - so why should she serve on the highest court in the land?!

WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT IT: The Senate must approve Supreme Court nominations; you can contact your Senator to encourage them to vote no to this inexperienced judge and promoter of the radical homosexual agenda. To learn who your Senators are, click here and select your state.

One for the Good Guys!

NEWS: With all the negative news these days, I am especially glad to report a victory. This is a battle won against the pornography industry. "Movie Gallery," at one time the second largest video outlet chain in America, is closing down. This chain was boycotted by many Christians due to the store's distribution of pornographic movies.
WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Those who are taking action by participating in such boycotts can take some of the credit for stopping this flow pornography. Let this victory be a source of encouragement to all of us to be active and know that our efforts are making a difference!

Silent No More!

NEWS: On April 16 will be "The Day of Silence" in most public high schools and middle schools. It is sponsored by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). On this day, thousands of public schools schools will allow students to remain silent all day-even during instructional time-to promote GLSEN's socio-political goals (i.e. their unproven and destructive theories on the nature and morality of homosexuality.)
Parents must actively oppose this hijacking of the classroom for political purposes.
WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:
1.
Call your local schools and ask whether they permit students or teachers to remain silent in the classroom on "Day of Silence."

IMPORTANT: Do not ask any administrator, school board member, or teacher if the school sponsors, endorses, or supports DOS. Schools do not technically sponsor the Day of Silence. Technically, it is students, often students in the gay-straight alliance, who sponsor it. Many administrators will tell you that they do not sponsor the DOS when, in fact, they do permit students and sometimes even teachers to remain silent during instructional time. Also ask administrators whether they permit teachers to create lesson plans to accommodate student silence.

2. Find out what date the event is planned for your school. (The national date for 2010 is April 16, but some schools observe DOS on a different date).

3. Inform the school of your intention to keep your children home on that date and explain why. (Click here for a sample letter.) One reason this is effective is that most school districts lose money for each student absence.

Click here to for more information on opposing the Day of Silence.

Take America back this November

NEWS: The government has now taken over the banking industry, the automotive industry, the health care industry, and is now looking to take over the Internet. (COMMUNISM)

ObamaCare = Is it a moral issue?

NEWS: On Sunday (March 21) there is supposed to be a vote on "ObamaCare." What those who support or oppose say about socialized medicine is secondary to what God says about socialism.

In Acts. 4:32 it says "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common." Here Christians are practicing socialism/communism. Later, in Romans 15:26 it says, "For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem." The Apostle Paul was sent to try help those who practiced socialism because it brought them to poverty.

In His Word, God here shows that Socialism is destructive to a society. We also see in the parable of the talents that God does not give to everyone in an equal amount. Matthew 25:15 "And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability." The parable goes on to say in verse 21 that the one who went out and made a profit was told "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Here we see again how capitalism is a Biblical principle.

Another Biblical principle violated if ObamaCare passes, is that taxpayers will be funding abortions in the U.S. for the first time ever.

In contrast to Bible teaching, the current administration is attempting to force socialism upon us, have us pay for abortions, and seeking to punish those who dare make a profit. For this reason (among many others too numerous to mention here) I urge all Christians to take a stand against "ObamaCare."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:
1) Hopefully by now you have contacted your Senators/Representatives. If you haven't, you can click here and enter your zip code. Then click by the person's name and click on "Contact Information" to the right of the screen.

2) Note who is for this program and in the next election VOTE THEM OUT!

3) Most importantly: PRAY - PRAY - PRAY. It is all but out of our hands now, but it is not out of HIS hands. (II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ACLU (Anti Christian Liberty Union)

NEWS: The wicked, yes I said wicked, ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is at it again. This week, the ACLU filed a lawsuit against a North Mississippi school district because it chose to cancel its prom by upholding traditional values.

That action was taken after a student was told she could not arrive at the prom with her lesbian girlfriend. Officials also informed her that she wasn't allowed to wear a tuxedo to the event. The ACLU told school officials that the student's rights were violated and so is now suing.

They did not tell the student the following:
--A school has the right to establish a dress code.
--It has a right to impose regulations for events it sponsors.
--It has a right to enforce regulations and restrictions on conduct.

May are lauding the school for taking a stand for what's right, but it's likely the student wasn't told that either. I sure don't see that part of the story being reported by the main-stream media.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact the school to express your support. They are under intense pressure to compromise and need encouragement. The school's address to write is:
Itawamba Agricultural High School
11900 Old Highway 25
Fulton, MS 38843-8447

What you can also do is learn a little more about the ACLU.
DID YOU KNOW:Roger Nash Baldwin, the ACLU's founder, said,
"I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself ... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal."

Honoring God is Constitutional

NEWS: In 2005, a federal judge in Sacramento ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional. However, today a federal appeals court in San Francisco upheld the use of the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, rejecting arguments on Thursday that the phrases violate the separation of church and state.

"The Pledge is constitutional," Judge Carlos Bea wrote for the majority in the 2-1 ruling. "The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded."
In a separate 3-0 ruling today, the appeals court upheld the inscription of the national motto "In God We Trust" on coins and currency.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: The next time you are confronted with the phrase "Separation of Church and State" you can arm yourself with this knowledge:

1-The Constitutions of ALL 50 States begin with references to God for their rights.

2-The Declaration of Independence says we Americans are "endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights."

(So, to take God out of America is UnConstitutional & violates the words of the Declaration.)

With so many battles, something else you can do is celebrate this ruling, and thank God for the victory. May this ruling encourage us all to continue the fight, working to bring America back to God!

Traditional Marriage Battle

NEWS: In 31 states the vote for defining marriage as between one man and one woman has been put to the people. In ALL 31 states, the people voted in favor of traditional marriage. The same is not always true when the choice is up to the courts or legislatures.

Now there is movement in the West Virginia Senate to let voters decide whether to approve a constitutional amendment protecting traditional marriage. Under the West Virginia constitution, an amendment must first be passed by the legislature before it can be placed before the state's voters. The resolution states: "Only a union between man and woman is valid or recognized as marriage in West Virginia."

Polls show more than 78% of West Virginia voters want marriage defined that way.

Sodomite activist groups are extremely active and vocal. Today, hundreds of sodomite activists flooded the Kentucky state capitol pushing their agenda. Christians must stand to be counted to counter this.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Those in West Virgina can contact their state-level legislators voicing their support for this vote to go before the people. You can find out who your districts' legislator is by clicking here and simply entering your zip code.

Those in the other states should also contact their state and national level legislators voicing their support for traditional marriage. To find out who your legislators are, simple click here and enter your zip code.

President pushing to allow sodomites in military

NEWS: President Obama is pushing for Congress to lift the ban on sodomites being in the military. If this is done it will cause several problems including:
Military members could be showering with those who might view them with sexual interest. (When I was in the service I didn't like the idea of group showers to begin with, but the idea of open sodomites in the showers is far - far worse.)
Overturning the ban will effect the military chaplains who take the Biblical stance against sodomy. They will either be told to go with the state's position, be quiet, or be removed. This is a violation of the 1st Amendment.
Our military will no longer be the place America's families want to send their best and brightest young men and women. Resulting in a weakening of our national security.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Contact your members of Congress and urge them to keep this ban in place. You can learn how to contact them by clicking here. Just type in your zip code to learn the names and contact information for your elected officials.

Opportunity to put Bible back into schools!

NEWS: Tennessee's state Board of Education has approved guidelines teaching the Bible in public high schools despite concern that the curriculum could be challenged in court.
Legislation approved in 2008 authorized a course for a "nonsectarian, nonreligious academic study of the Bible" in public schools. The course will teach students about the content of the Bible and its historical context. It's an elective, meaning high schools can choose whether to offer it to students as a social studies credit, and students can decide whether to take it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: This same law is now before the Kentucky state legislature (Senate Bill 142). Those in Kentucky can contact their state-level legislators to encourage them to pass this bill. To learn who your legislator is click here and simply enter your zip code. Those in other states can also contact their legislators to ask them to enact the same law.

God says in Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

The teaching of God's Word will 'NOT RETURN VOID.' By all means, let us take this opportunity to get the Bible back into schools!!!

Islamic group wants Chrisitans to stay quiet

NEWS: The mayor of Lancaster, California, is being criticized for telling residents that their town is a growing Christian community and they should be proud of that.
Mayor R. Rex Parris made the remarks at the end of his annual State of the City address last week.
The Greater Los Angeles area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations denounced the comments, saying it plans to file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Justice Dept. Executive director Hussam Ayloush says elected officials shouldn't be using their public positions to impose their religious beliefs. This is exactly the type of absurd claims and threats keeping many Christians from expressing their belief in Christ. The last thing Jesus said was "Go and tell," and I have yet to find any definition of "telling" or expressing pride in something is "imposing" it on anyone.
Mayor Parris told the Los Angeles Times that he has no such intentions and says he won't apologize. Good for him! For his stance, the mayor is now facing harsh criticism, and is up for re-election in April of this year.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact Lancaster City Hall and express your support for the stance and courage of Mayor Parris. The phone number is: (661) 723-6000 . If you would like to write a letter of support, the address is:
Lancaster City Hall
44933 N. Fern Avenue
Lancaster CA 93534

You can also contact media in the Lancaster area to express your support for Mayor Parris' words. For the contact information for all the newspapers, radio and TV stations in the area, just click here. I hope many will voice their public support for the mayors pride in Christianity.

This ad has many abortion groups furious. The ad is of NFL player, Tim Tebow and the decision his mother made to give birth to her unborn son when doctors were urging her to abort him.
CBS is now under heavy attack from abortion groups over a decision to run this ad. Since abortion activist claim to be pro-choice, why are they furious when someone made the choice for life?!
WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: With CBS under pressure to not air this ad, the company needs to hear from Christians. Click here to e-mail CBS and voice your support for the Tebow ad.

Iowa says, "Don't pray in Jesus' name"

NEWS: Despite the First Amendment to the Constitution, stating that there shall be no laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion or abridging the freedom of speech, the State of Iowa has done so.
After Pastor Brad Cranston of Heritage Baptist Church in Burlington, Iowa, prayed in Jesus name before the Iowa House of Representatives, a memo was sent to the lawmakers stating that all prayers are to be "non-denominational and non-political."
Pastor Cranston did not pray "in the name of the Baptist" he prayed "in the name of Jesus" so the "non-denominational" order can mean simply "DON'T PRAY IN JESUS NAME!"
How absurd! It's unconstitutional to issue an order like this- therefore, illegal. Furthermore, whoever sent this memo is assuming authority not given to them. Only the legislature can pass laws, not the author of some memo. Here we have a classic example of the "They Department" in action. The "They Department" is often quoted, but never found.
The memo also said that, 'Prayers shall be submitted in advance." Why require prayers in advance unless there is consideration of censoring a prayer or refusal to allow someone to pray at all?

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can take some or all of the following actions
  • You can call, write, or e-mail the members of the Iowa House of Representatives. To find their contact information click here then click on the representatives name.
  • You can contact Iowa Governor Chet Culver and ask for his public support in protesting this Constitutional violation. His office number is (515) 281-5211. Or you can write: "Office of the Governor & Lt. Governor State Capitol 1007 East Grand Ave. Des Moines, Iowa 50319.
  • You can send Governor Culver an email by clicking here.
  • You can refuse to allow the "They Department" to take away our Constitutional right to pray in Jesus name ANYWHERE.
  • You can write a note of encouragement to Pastor Cranston. The church's address is:

Can we stop abortion? - YES

NEWS: Jan. 22 will be the 37th annual "March for Life." In 2002 more than 100,000 people met in Washington D.C. for this annual protest against abortion. The number of Americans participating in this march grows each year, with more than 200,000 marching last year. Yet, we heard nothing of this massive protest on the main-stream media! More than 50 million babies have been killed by abortion since Roe v. Wade. After reaching a high of over 1.6 million in 1990, the number of abortions annually performed in the U.S. has dropped back to levels not seen since the late 1970s. Momentum against abortion continues to grow and stopping the slaughter is achievable.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Let those in Washington know you are one of the ever-growning numbers of Americans against abortion. You can learn how to contact your representatives in Congress by clicking here. If you are unable to make it to the annual march in D.C. then you can participate in the "Virtual March for Life" by clicking here.

Bluegrass State Keeps God's Law on display

NEWS: In Grayson County, Kentucky an appeals court decided Thursday in favor of keeping a Ten Commandments display. The Grayson County case began in 2002 when the American Civil Liberties Union filed suit against the county. It is doubted that the ACLU will appeal the decision to the U.S. Supreme Court because in the last four cases, appeals courts have ruled against the ACLU. The ACLU has not won a Ten Commandments case at the appeals level since 2005.

The Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday that it passes constitutional muster. Grayson County Judge-Executive Gary Logsdon thanked God for the return of the Commandments as part of the display of historical documents.
WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: This eight year legal battle ending in victory shows us that battles may be long and hard, but we shouldn't give up. What you can do with this item of news is praise The Father, and take heart that the grass-roots movement to return our nation to God is a battle worth fighting and can be won. But it will only be won if we stand up to be counted.

Freedom OF religion not FROM religion

NEWS: The Texas Board of Education is holding public hearings and will vote this week on the content of textbooks, which will impact many other states that follow Texas' lead.

One of the major problems is a push by a group that wants to censor religious information regarding historical figures from textbooks. Our country has a rich religious heritage, and the the faith of our founding fathers had a tremendous impact on our government and law. To teach otherwise is educational neglect. This is another example of those who are trying to re-write our history and remove everything to do with God.

Initial votes on the textbooks will be conducted this week, and a final vote will be tallied in two months. Those decisions will establish textbook content for the state for the next ten years as other states will purchase and use those same textbooks.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Attend your local school board meetings and make your voice heard to keep this from happening. Those in Texas should contact the Board of Education to voice their objections. We must be active to ensure American children can still learn about the true history of our nation - a history founded upon our national motto: In God We Trust.

NEWS: Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) has introduced a resolution in the US Congress to remove Kevin Jennings from his position as the "Safe School Czar" in the US Dept. of Education.
Kevin Jennings has a horrific record of introducing sodomite behaviors to innocent and vulnerable children in public schools. Jennings is also associated with the North American Man Boy Association, who's motto is "sex before 8 or else it's too late."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Our politicians (including the president, his staff, and members of Congress) need to understand how outraged we are that such a militant, sodomite extremist continues to serve as "safe schools" czar in the US Dept of Education. You can sign the petition for Jennings removal by clicking here. You can also learn how to contact your national-level members of Congress by clicking here.
