OBAMA FACING IMPREACHMENT

NEWS: Texas Congressman Rep. Steve Stockman has called Obama's executive orders that by-pass Congress and implement gun control laws by decree, "an unconstitutional and unconscionable attack on the very founding principles of this republic." He also threatened to defund the White House.  "I will seek to thwart this action by any means necessary, including but not limited to eliminating funding for implementation, defunding the White House, and even filing articles of impeachment," he said.

Standing for Life

NEWS:  The annual Pro-Life Rally will be Feb. 7 at 11 am in the Kentucky Capitol.  The Kentucky House of Representatives has not passed a pro-life bill in about a decade.  We need to let our legislators hear from us to encourage them to pass a pro-life bill this year.

The battle over gun RIGHTS

NEWS:  There is much talk in Washington about banning guns or certain types of guns.  The 2nd Amendment of the Constitution says, "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."  This is what Thomas Jefferson said about our right to guns, “The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”  You will note he does not say our gun rights have anything to do with hunting or sports, but "to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can (1) contact your members of Congress and tell them you want them to oppose new bans on weapons.  (2) Educate yourself and watch this 13 minute video of the true story of when American citizens took up arms against corrupt government in the 1940s.  A fascinating part of our history that isn't taught in school.

GREATEST THREAT TO FREEDOM!!!

NEWS: The law called the National Defense Authorization Act 2012 (NDAA) allows the government to:

• Search your home and person without a warrant. 
• Arrest you on suspicion of terrorism or for "belligerent acts."
• To detain you indefinitely
• To deny you access to an attorney
• To deny you the right of trial

This law was passed under the guise of protecting us from domestic terrorism, HOWEVER this allows the government far too much power to harass anyone who they deem as a threat to them.  This law must be reversed.  Congress passed the law and Obama has already signed it.  Our only defense now by getting state governments to stand against it!

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  The state legislature of Michigan has passed a law that makes the NDAA illegal in that state.  You can contact your state's legislators and your governor and urge them to propose a law nullifying NDAA 2012 in your state!  For those in Kentucky, you can see who is your legislator and how to contact them by clicking here.

Republican Leadership removing conservatives

NEWS:  Speaker of the House (John Boehner) is removing conservatives from leadership roles.  He is doing nothing to stop Obama's power grabs, violations of the Constitution and attacks on our rights.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can contact your member in the House of Representatives and have them vote for a new Speaker of the House.  Click here to learn who your representative is and their contact information.

NEWS:  The war on Christmas continues.  Retailers have taken sides on this issue.  Listed here are the stores that mention CHRISTmas and those stores that only say "holiday."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can shop at the stores that honor Christmas, and avoid those that don't.  To take a stronger stand for Christ you can contact the stores that don't mention Christmas and let them know since they have no Christmas items in their store that you'll have to do your Christmas shopping somewhere else.

NEWS:  Because of numerous accounts of voter fraud, a move to impose socialism, disregard for the Constitution, threats to our gun rights, financial irresponsibility of the government and other reasons, more than 787,000 people have already signed petitions for their state to secede from the United States.  If a state's petition receives 25,000 or more clicks to sign a petition within 30 days then the federal government is required to respond.
   

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  For those interested, they can click here to go to the official White House website to sign the petition for your state to secede.  You will need to scroll down on the page to find your state's petition and click the "Find Out More" button.  To sign the petition you must register on the site, it is a very simple process.
