News: In the on-going war to remove Christ from Christmas, may retailers have removed the word "Christmas" from their stores and ads. However, after pressure from Christian groups, Gap's Old Navy division is launch a new television commercial this weekend which they say, "has a very strong Christmas theme."
Many Christians have joined the boycott of Gap as a result of its initial "holiday" ad that mingled Christmas with the pagan "Winter Solstice" holiday.
Gap says the new ad will include people proudly cheering “Merry Christmas", and features Christmas trees, lights and ornaments as well.
What You Can Do: Keep informed on which stores are shunning Christ this Christmas season - a list of some of those stores is in the below article called "The War Against Christmas." You can let stores without Christmas know you won't be purchasing items there. This news about Gap stores is an example of how Christians taking public stand CAN make a difference.
