Pro-Life Rally

NEWS: The Right to Life of Louisville will host its annual “Rally for Life” at Metro hall in Louisville at noon on Jan. 24. The rally will mark 38 years since abortion was legalized by the Supreme Court decisions of Roe v. Wade and doe v. Bolton. The rally will feature speakers from pro-life organizations, area churches and schools.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can show up for this rally and show your support for reversing legalized abortion. Recent polls show there are now more pro-life Americans than pro-abortion. Let's make our voices heard and seek to remove the blood on our nation's hands. (Exodus 23:7 "...the innocent and righteous slay thou not for I will not justify the wicked.")

NEWS: The Kentucky Senate has passed Senate Bill 9, known as the "Ultrasound Bill." This bill requires abortionist to allow a woman to see an ultrasound of her baby before the pregnancy is ended with an abortion. It ensures that a woman has full information about the irreversible action she is considering prior to making a final commitment. In states where similar bills have passed, the number of women who see the ultrasound then decide to have the abortion anyway decrease dramatically.

Last year, a similar bill passed the KY Senate but died in the House of Representatives because pro-abortion leadership refused to allow it to come up for a vote. If the bill could come up for a vote, it is highly likely it would pass.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact your district's person in the KY House of Representatives and say you want them to take action to get Senate Bill 9 up for a vote by the full House. The number to leave a message for your legislators is: 1-800-372-7181. If you do not know who your representative is, then you can look it up by county by clicking here. You can also leave a message for those in leadership in the House. The Speaker of the House is "Representative Greg Stumbo" and the floor speaker of the House "Representative Rocky Adkins."

NEWS: With newly elected legislators set to take office next month, several states are seeking to put new pro-life bills into law. Nebraska has already enacted such law and now pro-life lawmakers in other states hope to do the same thing, but they need our help.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Law makers on both sides of the subject need to hear from you. You can contact your state-level legislators and say you want to have pro-life legislation passed in the new year. (No pro-life legislation has passed the KY House of Representatives for more than a decade. Let's turn up the heat on them about this.) T'was the week before elections

T'was the week before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down

I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
tired of political clap-trap

When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out my window
Saw Obama and his boys

They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!

He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink

He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
'On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi'
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as they flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
that wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note—
IF YOU DON'T WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE !!!!
