ObamaCare = Is it a moral issue?

NEWS: On Sunday (March 21) there is supposed to be a vote on "ObamaCare." What those who support or oppose say about socialized medicine is secondary to what God says about socialism.

In Acts. 4:32 it says "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common." Here Christians are practicing socialism/communism. Later, in Romans 15:26 it says, "For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem." The Apostle Paul was sent to try help those who practiced socialism because it brought them to poverty.

In His Word, God here shows that Socialism is destructive to a society. We also see in the parable of the talents that God does not give to everyone in an equal amount. Matthew 25:15 "And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability." The parable goes on to say in verse 21 that the one who went out and made a profit was told "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." Here we see again how capitalism is a Biblical principle.

Another Biblical principle violated if ObamaCare passes, is that taxpayers will be funding abortions in the U.S. for the first time ever.

In contrast to Bible teaching, the current administration is attempting to force socialism upon us, have us pay for abortions, and seeking to punish those who dare make a profit. For this reason (among many others too numerous to mention here) I urge all Christians to take a stand against "ObamaCare."

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:
1) Hopefully by now you have contacted your Senators/Representatives. If you haven't, you can click here and enter your zip code. Then click by the person's name and click on "Contact Information" to the right of the screen.

2) Note who is for this program and in the next election VOTE THEM OUT!

3) Most importantly: PRAY - PRAY - PRAY. It is all but out of our hands now, but it is not out of HIS hands. (II Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. ACLU (Anti Christian Liberty Union)

NEWS: The wicked, yes I said wicked, ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is at it again. This week, the ACLU filed a lawsuit against a North Mississippi school district because it chose to cancel its prom by upholding traditional values.

That action was taken after a student was told she could not arrive at the prom with her lesbian girlfriend. Officials also informed her that she wasn't allowed to wear a tuxedo to the event. The ACLU told school officials that the student's rights were violated and so is now suing.

They did not tell the student the following:
--A school has the right to establish a dress code.
--It has a right to impose regulations for events it sponsors.
--It has a right to enforce regulations and restrictions on conduct.

May are lauding the school for taking a stand for what's right, but it's likely the student wasn't told that either. I sure don't see that part of the story being reported by the main-stream media.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact the school to express your support. They are under intense pressure to compromise and need encouragement. The school's address to write is:
Itawamba Agricultural High School
11900 Old Highway 25
Fulton, MS 38843-8447

What you can also do is learn a little more about the ACLU.
DID YOU KNOW:Roger Nash Baldwin, the ACLU's founder, said,
"I am for Socialism, disarmament and ultimately, for the abolishing of the State itself ... I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class and sole control of those who produce wealth. Communism is the goal."

Honoring God is Constitutional

NEWS: In 2005, a federal judge in Sacramento ruled that the Pledge of Allegiance was unconstitutional. However, today a federal appeals court in San Francisco upheld the use of the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, rejecting arguments on Thursday that the phrases violate the separation of church and state.

"The Pledge is constitutional," Judge Carlos Bea wrote for the majority in the 2-1 ruling. "The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded."
In a separate 3-0 ruling today, the appeals court upheld the inscription of the national motto "In God We Trust" on coins and currency.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: The next time you are confronted with the phrase "Separation of Church and State" you can arm yourself with this knowledge:

1-The Constitutions of ALL 50 States begin with references to God for their rights.

2-The Declaration of Independence says we Americans are "endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights."

(So, to take God out of America is UnConstitutional & violates the words of the Declaration.)

With so many battles, something else you can do is celebrate this ruling, and thank God for the victory. May this ruling encourage us all to continue the fight, working to bring America back to God!

Traditional Marriage Battle

NEWS: In 31 states the vote for defining marriage as between one man and one woman has been put to the people. In ALL 31 states, the people voted in favor of traditional marriage. The same is not always true when the choice is up to the courts or legislatures.

Now there is movement in the West Virginia Senate to let voters decide whether to approve a constitutional amendment protecting traditional marriage. Under the West Virginia constitution, an amendment must first be passed by the legislature before it can be placed before the state's voters. The resolution states: "Only a union between man and woman is valid or recognized as marriage in West Virginia."

Polls show more than 78% of West Virginia voters want marriage defined that way.

Sodomite activist groups are extremely active and vocal. Today, hundreds of sodomite activists flooded the Kentucky state capitol pushing their agenda. Christians must stand to be counted to counter this.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Those in West Virgina can contact their state-level legislators voicing their support for this vote to go before the people. You can find out who your districts' legislator is by clicking here and simply entering your zip code.

Those in the other states should also contact their state and national level legislators voicing their support for traditional marriage. To find out who your legislators are, simple click here and enter your zip code.

President pushing to allow sodomites in military

NEWS: President Obama is pushing for Congress to lift the ban on sodomites being in the military. If this is done it will cause several problems including:
Military members could be showering with those who might view them with sexual interest. (When I was in the service I didn't like the idea of group showers to begin with, but the idea of open sodomites in the showers is far - far worse.)
Overturning the ban will effect the military chaplains who take the Biblical stance against sodomy. They will either be told to go with the state's position, be quiet, or be removed. This is a violation of the 1st Amendment.
Our military will no longer be the place America's families want to send their best and brightest young men and women. Resulting in a weakening of our national security.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Contact your members of Congress and urge them to keep this ban in place. You can learn how to contact them by clicking here. Just type in your zip code to learn the names and contact information for your elected officials.

Opportunity to put Bible back into schools!

NEWS: Tennessee's state Board of Education has approved guidelines teaching the Bible in public high schools despite concern that the curriculum could be challenged in court.
Legislation approved in 2008 authorized a course for a "nonsectarian, nonreligious academic study of the Bible" in public schools. The course will teach students about the content of the Bible and its historical context. It's an elective, meaning high schools can choose whether to offer it to students as a social studies credit, and students can decide whether to take it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: This same law is now before the Kentucky state legislature (Senate Bill 142). Those in Kentucky can contact their state-level legislators to encourage them to pass this bill. To learn who your legislator is click here and simply enter your zip code. Those in other states can also contact their legislators to ask them to enact the same law.

God says in Isaiah 55:11 "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."

The teaching of God's Word will 'NOT RETURN VOID.' By all means, let us take this opportunity to get the Bible back into schools!!!

Islamic group wants Chrisitans to stay quiet

NEWS: The mayor of Lancaster, California, is being criticized for telling residents that their town is a growing Christian community and they should be proud of that.
Mayor R. Rex Parris made the remarks at the end of his annual State of the City address last week.
The Greater Los Angeles area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations denounced the comments, saying it plans to file a civil rights complaint with the U.S. Justice Dept. Executive director Hussam Ayloush says elected officials shouldn't be using their public positions to impose their religious beliefs. This is exactly the type of absurd claims and threats keeping many Christians from expressing their belief in Christ. The last thing Jesus said was "Go and tell," and I have yet to find any definition of "telling" or expressing pride in something is "imposing" it on anyone.
Mayor Parris told the Los Angeles Times that he has no such intentions and says he won't apologize. Good for him! For his stance, the mayor is now facing harsh criticism, and is up for re-election in April of this year.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: You can contact Lancaster City Hall and express your support for the stance and courage of Mayor Parris. The phone number is: (661) 723-6000 . If you would like to write a letter of support, the address is:
Lancaster City Hall
44933 N. Fern Avenue
Lancaster CA 93534

You can also contact media in the Lancaster area to express your support for Mayor Parris' words. For the contact information for all the newspapers, radio and TV stations in the area, just click here. I hope many will voice their public support for the mayors pride in Christianity.
