Christians at the Capitol day - 2015

NEWS:  February 20th will be the 5th annual "Christians at the Capitol" day at the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort.  It is a day to take a stand for:  Life, Marriage, Religious Liberty,  Prayer in Jesus' name, and more.  Learn about moral issues in the Bluegrass state and what you can do to make a difference.  The entire day is free!

NEWS:  Each year some stores keep Christ in Christmas while others take Christ out.  A handy "Naughty and Nice" list has been made for your convenience. You can see which stores are Christmas friendly and who are not here.

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can avoid the stores who don't have Christ in the ads or stores and instead shop at stores that do.

Court forces Christian to support homosexuals

NEWS:  A court has ordered a Christian by the name of Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, in Lakewood, Colorado to make a cake for a homosexual wedding, to submit quarterly reports that he is not turning away customers based on their sexual orientation, and have himself and his staff attend "training sessions" to teach them to accept homosexuality.  What a blatant violation of the Constitutional Freedom of Religion!  This group who preaches tolerance (but won't tolerate preaching) is the most intolerant, bullying group in America today!

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: Here are five things you can do to help make a difference in this situation.

1)   Add Jack Phillips to your prayer list in this fight to stand on Biblical principles.

2)   Send him a note of encouragement.  The address is on his website here.

3)   You can send him a donation to help with the lawyer and court fees to appeal this ruling.

4) You can determine now what you will do when the government comes to your door/business/church and says you must change your beliefs/practices.

5)   You can spread the word about this, and get others involved in helping this stand for Christianity.

Who is really willing to take a stand

NEWS: Friday, there was an attempt to bring a pro-life bill before the Ky House of Representatives.  Here is the official record of the vote.  Some might say this move was out of order, but if that was the case the Speaker of the House would have not allowed it to be voted on.  So don't let someone try to deceive you into thinking this was a procedural vote.  This vote shows in literal black & white where they truly stand on being willing to stand up for life or not.

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can check the record below to see who stood for pro-life, against it, or was unwilling to take a stand at all.  Remember this when it is election time.

Which stores keep Christ in Christmas

NEWS:  This year the war for Christmas continues with some stores choosing to keep Christ in Christmas and others who deny Him.  Click here for the list of stores that are "Naught or Nice".

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  Not only can you shop at stores that honor Christmas and avoid ones who do not, but you can send an e-mail or letter to those who don't and let them know your money was spent elsewhere for that reason.  Speaking with your pocketbook is a great way to get a store owners attention.

Army bans participation in Christian organizations

NEWS:  The U.S. military is training soldiers that groups standing for traditional/Biblical marriage (such as The American Family Association) are hate groups in the same category as the Ku Klux Klan and the Neo-Nazis.  Pictured left is the briefing the soldiers received about this.    The slide at left names the American Family Association as such a hate group.  Also in the training, soldiers were informed they could face punishment for participating in organizations that are considered hate groups. Question:  Does your church teach traditional/Biblical marriage?  If so, according to this Army briefing military members may not contribute to, join, or attend your church.  If they do they could "face punishment."

 

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT: First, let us praise the Lord for the brave soldier who took a picture so we have evidence of this.  Second, let us pray for courage for our Christian military members now under persecution for their faith.  Third, make this a more public issue by writing letters to the editor of your local papers, and letters to your members of Congress.  Fourth, encourage your church to host a military appreciation day and get more military members into our churches at a time when they are being told to stay away.

LET FREEDOM RING!!! 

Freedom of Speech is GONE!!!

NEWS:  The Constitutional right of Freedom of Speech no longer applies if you speak out against Common Core!  That's based on the evidence from a town hall meeting in Maryland.  Common Core is federally pushed standards for school curriculum.  A man spoke against it and was arrested.   In the video you can watch by clicking here you will see when a parent tries to speak against it he is ejected, and goes on to be arrested.  He is also charged with assaulting the officer.  Watch the video yourself and you'll see the man does NOTHING to assault the officer at all!  Why is there such oppression against speaking against Common Core if it is so good?!

WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT:  You can go to your community school board meetings, town halls, etc. and speak out against Common Core!  The more attention is brought to this issue, the more America will realize the freedoms we've already lost and encourage action to take them back.
